Colonial Bohea was the type of tea tossed into the sea during the Boston Tea Party. 242 chests of this lightly smoky black tea blend were destroyed that day in one of the inital tremors of revolution. This delightful tea is now available for anyone to try and enjoy!

These tea bags are sealed in signature "Join or Die" tins that reflect the feelings of the time. The "Join or Die" flag was created by Benjamin Franklin and is now still a symbol of the revolution.

Colonial Bohea was a favorite tea in the colonies and was the largest tea import during colonial times. Bohea was so popular that the word bohea (pronounced boo-hee) became the slang term for tea.
